In a few days time I'll be leaving to go to Summer School, Lincoln UK. I'm booked for the course Fun with Acid Dyes by Amanda Hannaford. I'm looking forward to meeting up with old friends and meeting OLG members that I have only met online.
It will be interesting to be dyeing with acid dyes as I have only done natural dyeing so far. (apart from dyeing with Dylon dyes in the washing machine ages ago). We had a choice of what we wanted to dye (fibres, yarns, or a mix of both) and I have gone for silk yarns. I've still got to choose a photo for the colour inspiration. I'm hoping to find a photo that not only will have nice colours but also an inspiration for a weave structure. I will browse through my own collection of digital photos and I'm sure I'll find something suitable.
I will not be blogging until I'm back on the 16th as I'll be staying on in the UK for another week after Summer School and I intend to keep away from computers these 2 weeks. ;-)
