Next warp
I was winding the next warp out in the garden yesterday using my warping peddle. Who would have thought this would be possible in March! Today is a lot cooler and not warm enough to sit outside. I've enjoyed the sunny days we have had so far though.
It's a short 2 colour warp for double weave and I had the colours on more than 1 cone so was able to warp 4 threads at a time.
I improvised with vases keeping the cones separate. I had to untwist the threads a few times but very do-able.
Now the warp is on the loom and ready for threading. I'll use the dobby again to keep track of which shaft should be next as this too is not a straight threading, though I'm only using 4 shafts for this warp. This photo shows the warp on the back of the loom.

Wat zijn we toch even verwend met dat zonnetje die paar dagen en wat ziet je schering er heerlijk zomers uit.

Marion, als de zon schijnt kan je er maar beter snel van genieten op het moment (als het mogelijk is natuurlijk).
ReplyDeleteDe ketting is voor mijn dubbelweefcursus, ik sta te popellen om te zien wat de resultaten zijn van het weven.
Ook ik zat en werkte heerlijk in de zon en in de tuin, de afgelopen week. Nu is het weer binnenweer. Ik ben ook al lang van plan een dubbelweefsel op te zetten met colcoton. Moet ik snel eens gaan doen. Jouw schering was zeker inspirerend!
